Discover the food of Lima in two of most traditional markets with a pro photographer and cook expert, bursting with colors, flavors, and life. Sample authentic local food while enjoying the warmth of the people, get in contact with produce, and the vibrant scenes that bring Peruvian cuisine to life.

We’ll begin our day with a visit to the historic Magdalena Market, founded in 1930 in one of Lima’s most traditional districts. For anyone curious about Peruvian gastronomy, this is a true paradise of flavors and ingredients.
Wandering through its lively, narrow aisles, you’ll discover treasures from across the country: Amazonian produce, fresh cuts of meat and fish, varieties of potatoes, colorful vegetables, and native corn. To fully enjoy the experience, we recommend a light breakfast beforehand—so you can sample the delights along the way (purchases are not included, so bring some soles in cash). Taste Chinese-Peruvian dishes, fresh seafood, tropical fruit juices, aromatic coffee, and local snacks, all while capturing vibrant photos of the market’s daily life.
On our way back, we’ll stop at the San Isidro Market, a modern and spacious venue where vendors are neatly organized. Here you can try regional bread and cheeses, sip refreshing coconut or orange juice, or even pick up some high-quality Peruvian coffee to take home.
Optional Culinary Treat: Not included in the plan but easy to add: if you’re still hungry and eager to indulge, we’ll be close to La Mar Street, home to some of Lima’s finest restaurants, coffee shops and desserts. It’s the perfect spot to savour superb dishes and elevate your gastronomic experience or make stop to try some dessert before end the food adventure.

What do I have to wear?
During the summer months (January to April), it’s essential to wear sunscreen and light, breathable clothing. Average temperatures in Lima range from 24°C to 32°C.
In winter (July to October), temperatures typically range from 12°C to 16°C. Long sleeves and a windbreaker are recommended. Although it usually doesn’t rain much—except in August and September—bringing an extra coat for unexpected rain or chilly weather can be helpful.
Important note
We don´t include spends in the markets, trip is open to suggestions and you can try the food you choose and pay and tip directly to the vendors. An average of 100 Soles per person may cover most of spends. Credit cards are not available for paying in the markets.

After pre booking by the web form, or contact us by whatsapp, chat or email, please send a list with names, passport numbers, tour date, meeting point and any request you think could be important, as kind of things you want to photograph, personal style, personal website, mobility issues, etc.
We work only with small groups and on private service.
Important
Save the date with 50% of the rate. This advanced payment is not refundable in case of cancellations, for more details check our Terms and Conditions.
You can choo se to pay the full amount, in case of cancellations 2 days before the tour date we can refund the 50% of payment minus the cost of bank operation. Otherwise you can complete the full payment a day before or the same day of the tour.
We do not include main meals, drinks, personal expenses, also you should hire a travel insurance. Lodging is included on specific tours.
